subtle politics of words
stacked like swords afire or flies
wonders in eyes
of a dog and a child
hands on faces to hide
to reassure a shoulder
to pull down to rise
to stand and breathe
or is it too futile to weep
in pockets of sand eddys in
a river long so angry
it's ablazen
or is it righteous not in the self
but in every moment men and women
owned in the universe
and that's all of it
or is it talking in corners
no way up to the air
grey under all no comfort
no fair weather here
or can we talk when we yell our sorrows
our beliefs our truer selves
my god in a field of rich warm green
a breeze a friend birds and ease
out of the corners we get stuck in
in to the corners of talking
